Where the household gathers
Kitchen Remodeling in Walnut Grove
Keep the footprint or open it up: new cabinets, counters, lighting and backsplash, with every trade in the room answering to one team on one contract.
Layout First, Then Everything Else
The biggest decision in a kitchen is whether the sink, range and refrigerator keep their places. Keeping them in place is mostly cabinets, counters and finishes. Moving them brings new water, drain and gas runs, extra circuits and sometimes a reframed wall.
Whichever way you go, one team handles every stage, so the person templating your counters already knows how the cabinets underneath were leveled. Once the room is handed back, our work in it is covered by a one-year warranty.
How a Kitchen Moves Through Its Stages
-
Order Early
Cabinets are usually the slowest item to arrive, so they are ordered and their delivery date confirmed before tear-out, sparing you weeks of an empty room.
-
Open Up and Rough In
Out go the old cabinets and counters. Walls are opened as the plan requires, relocated lines and circuits go in, and we check them alongside the inspection before drywall.
-
Set, Template, Finish
Base cabinets go in and get checked for level. The counter templates come off those boxes, and the backsplash, lights, hardware and appliance hookups follow.
Kitchen Questions
What do we do for meals during the remodel?
Most households carry the old refrigerator, a microwave and a kettle into another room and keep meals simple. Expect several weeks of that for a full remodel, more if a wall opens or the sink moves.
Can the wall between the kitchen and dining room come out?
Often, though it depends on what the wall carries. A non-bearing wall comes out with some patching; a bearing wall needs a correctly sized beam, and anything running through it, such as ducts or drain lines, has to be rerouted. We check before it goes into the scope.
What Would a Better Kitchen Fix?
Think about the last big meal you made there and what got in the way. Tell us that, plus anything you already know you want, and we will talk through which changes fit the current footprint.
